Lesson 2 - Characteristics and Generic Types of Thin Film Intumescent Coatings
Objective
The object of this training unit is to understand how much thin film coatings are required for fire protection. We will review the different generic types of intumescent coatings and the advantages and disadvantages of thin film intumescent coatings.
Lesson 3 - Product Literature, Training and Coating Application
Objective
The objective of this training unit is to review the product literature, coatings applicator training, specification and application of thin film intumescent coatings (inc preparation, material storage, mixing, wet film thickness, drying etc).
Lesson 4 - Dry Film Thickness
Objective
The objective of this training unit is to review dry film thickness and thin film intumescent application problems.
We will also review application problems with thin film intumescent coatings.
Lesson 5 - Quality Control
Objective
The objective of this training unit is to review the role of the quality control inspector (Supervisor) on thin film intumescent coating application.
Lesson 6 - Health and Safety
Objective
The objective of this training unit is to review the development of Risk Assessments, COSHH Assessments, and Method Statements when using thin film intumescent coatings.
Lesson 7 - Inspection Equipment
Objective
The objective of this training unit is to review the basic inspection equipment that may be required on a thin film intumescent coating application contract or project.
